WHO WE ARE

GB AFRICAN SAFARIS are based in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe with a lease on private land in north western part of Zimbabwe. Our mission is to work with communities who neighbour or live on hunting land. We are passionate about the conservation, protection of both the wildlife resource and the community livelihoods that depend on the wildlife resource.

Hunting Areas consist of:

-Private Land

-Campfire Areas

-Privately-owned conservancies throughout Zimbabwe

-Matetsi/Hwange areas

-State Forest

GB AFRICAN SAFARIS (Pvt) Ltd and Nyamazana Safaris (Pvt) Ltd operate as a Joint Venture in the Shangani and Gwayi hunting area.

Garry Bezuidenhout

The Founder

GB African Safaris is the dream and passion of Garry Bezuidenhout Owner and Founder

“I was born in Bulawayo, grew up in the lowveld (Chiredzi) where I got to love the bush. Almost every
weekend spent out camping, fishing in one of Zimbabwe’s icon National Park – Gonarezhou, I became
obsessed with wildlife from the tender age of 12. My and Dad and uncle were in the Veterinary
Department whose responsibility was to protect the tsetse fly game fence by hunting carrier species,
with permission I would go along and participate in the hunting. I am a passionate hunter and believe
that hunting sustainably, legally will ensure the beneficial conservation for wildlife and hunting in the
future”.

BEVERLEY ISMAIL

GENERAL MANAGER

Beverley is the Camp Manager of GB African Safaris.

Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything she does, both professionally and personally.

She feels nature has called her, just like her great grandfather Sir Thomas Baines. Who was encouraged through art.

She is an independent, adventurous woman. And does not tolerate immorality and dishonesty to her or the Safari team.

“I was born in a rural area outside Zimbabwe’s largest National Park – Hwange. I have been in the safari since 1995, I am a qualified Professional Guide and Hunter. The African bush is my home and live by its rules and credo of sustainable conservation.”
